No it’s not mental health issue. It’s an indoctrination issue based on the fact that it needs to be regulated and not exempt from anything.

This behavior is not limited only to religions. It seems that a lot of people are just susceptible to this type of thinking.
Religion is just the systematized narrative that emerges or evolves to justify the underlying class structure, which in this case is settler-colonialism.
