I love FE: Awakening. That was around the time the gameplay started to drive me insane though (but it was my first Fire Emblem so take that with a grain of salt).
FE Fates is my favorite FE game. People really take a shit on dragon!Corrin, but it's actually my preferred option (I play on Hard and not Lunatic, so keep that in mind). Keep in mind (if you don't know), Corrin's guaranteed kid if you don't have mods and you S support with opposite gender (Kana) and their other kid (from S support) can also turn into dragons. I did this purposefully one time to have a dragon!Soleil. Fates provides a lot of weird combinations like that. Basically, you can choose any specific 2nd gen kid to be a dragon.
dragon corrin is good on lunatic from what i have read, mostly because its naturally very tanky, so you can tank the enemies while your other units kill them, i didnt know about the kids thing i will keep it in mind.
I've had people cuss me out for even hinting they were good with a dragonstone. I wouldn't be surprised if different FE communities felt different ways, but I'm glad people have come around to it. That's primarily what I use dragon Corrin for (tbh I usually just use them as pair up fodder these days).
