Is there even a "modding community" for modern Halo games? Everything I see is for Halo 1.

Halo 1 had editing tools on PC since the original Gearbox port but later 343 released tools for games in the MCC on Steam which has Workshop support so there's mods for those games. If you mean 5 and Infinite, no.

You wait for InfernoPlus to do something. It takes a few millennia. But yeah mcc has solid mod support ans i vaguely remember seeing some mod an ex battlefield dev made that looked really fun
