First, it is slightly cheaper; and secondly it has the words DON'T PANIC inscribed in large friendly letters on its cover.

That's true, if you had no GUI for an extended period, it'd be worth learning something that could do that. Although, other people are saying there's a way in nano.

If you're using a GUI, and working in an emulator, who cares if it's not "proper"?
