Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

But that should've never happened. He did say very clearly that he isn't going into the challenge as a tech savvy dude but as a naive enter smashing user. That was completely on pop os for even suggesting the option.
As I recall, it was a transient packaging bug that was fixed within an hour of it occurring, well before the video even aired.
The bug should have never made it to production. Pretty unlucky that one of the biggest tech youtubers caught it on video, but still, not the best look for Linux
