I'm Yakuza_Wolf_ReRise and I just migrated here from Reddit (I went by the name u/Yakuza-Wolf_Kiwami). To briefly explain what happened, I had a couple of imposters pretending to be me to do some dirty deeds, leading to my account to be suspended. I can't go too deep into details, but that's the basic jist of it. So I came here as an "alternative" to reddit up until my account is back and running.

So, what can I do around these parts?

This isn’t the right place for your post, but that’s okay. Lemmy is way more spread out than Reddit, so you should make a post like this in every community you intend to use. They’ll be named like the subs you used to like. You’ll find the people you’re looking for much faster that way.

I love that you just advised going to every community and announcing that they exist like it's their first day in kindergarten. You probably meant that last sentence perfectly innocently like a kind person would, but after thinking that it read as an absolutely beautiful underhanded barb.
