@Tattorack @darthelmet I don't think it's ever easy even then to commit atrocities. I think it takes a special kind of degenerate people, in a degenerate environment, to become sadistic women and children murderers that also burn crops, poison wells, kill animals, enforce famine and deny relief to those they deliberately wound and maim...

History is full of examples of it being easy. You strip away the human status from a particular group and suddenly you don't feel so bad hurting them. So long as you don't talk with them, of course. That usually makes people realise the others are just people too.
