They're not the same people!
Only about 10% of the population of Israel are Holocaust survivors or descendants of Holocaust survivors, as most Jewish immigrants to Israel by far came from Russia and the Middle East, not Western Europe.
There is no such thing as a racial transmission path for the trauma of victimization (i.e. there is no "Jewish Hive Mind"). I'm sorry but the very notion of there being a Race-wide psychological impact were people far from and uninvolved in a tragic event are changed by it in the same way as the actual victims is RACIST AS FUCK.
(Yeah, the "they're all victims" bulshit was probably sold to you your whole life, especially if you're an American, but it doesn't take that much logical analysis to follow that specific idea down to its foundations and discover it is entirey supported by the assumption that trauma spreads via Race, which is a spectacularly Racist take on the nature of humans and just a variation of "they're all the same")
The only psychological bond these people have to the Holocaust is having grown up in an environment were a supremacist political movement - Zionism - used stories about it to convince them that their race was under attack and that anything at all they did to "protect" the race was totally acceptable and justified - in other words, the memory of that tragedy were entirelly different people suffered, was twisted and weaponized to indoctrinated these, totally different individuals, to become rabidly racist violent supremacists.
The Holocaust was used by Zionists to make NAZIs out of Israelis and it was done by using it as material to spin the very same style of "our race is under attack" shit as the NAZIs did to brainwash Germanic people.
So it's not at all paradoxical that these people are doing their very own Holocausting: thanks to the Zionists and the way Israel was structured in its very Constitution as a supremacist nation, it's actually logical that there having been an Holocaust were members of their ethnicity were targetted, they would be doing something like that to others and doing it thinking they're "defending themselves" and that doing NAZI shit like targetting children because they belong to an ethnicity the Israelis are taught are "vermin", is actually the morally correct thing to do.
I disagree what the commenter mean is that "they did not learn anything from history, especially since it happened to their ancestors?"
Ex: i look at history and that made me disgusted to what my ancestors (i am Italian) during WWII and to the african colonies, so I hate any act of colonization and fascism

Psychological Trauma does not transmit through Race.
People can intellectually UNDERSTAND it, and then apply their own morals and principles to make judgements on such events - which is what you describe doing yourself - which is not at all the same thing as FEELING the pain that a victim feels and actually changing as person because of it.
What seems to have happenned with the history of the Holocaust in Israel was that the intellectual understanding of it was guided to interact with a totally different part of the human psychie of Israelis - their Tribalism, rather than their Empathy - so they feel that they're doing the morally right things whilst de facto doing monstrous things, because they've been convinced such things are required to "save the Jewish People from destruction", something they're constantly reminded was attempted before.
It's way harder for outsiders to shape the profound changes to a person as result of being victimized (it literally takes years of Psycho-Therapy to even just abate the trauma) than it is to shape people's intelectual judgment on stories about things done to those they identity with, and supremacists (such as Nazis and Zionists) invariably use stories of past victimization of those of the etnicity they claim to represent to both strengthen people's feelings of their Race as the most important group they belong to (i.e. of their Race as their tribe) and to spin a fable of how the Race is under attack and anything at all they do against the "enemies of the Race" (with supremacists deciding who those "enemies" are) is something they must do to "protect the Race".
It's not by chance that some much of what Zionists say and you hear from Israelis is pretty much what Nazis said and you heard from Germans in Nazi Germany but with different races as the superior race (which the former call "God's chosen people" and the latter "ubermenschen") and for those they claim are their inferior racial enemies (both calling them "vermin") - the exact same process is being used to shape people into violent ultra-racists who will do anything no matter how monstrous to "protect the race" and will even feel good and righteous about it afterwards to the point of shouting out to the World that they did it (which these two to did by taking this picture and posting in on social media) - these people are genuinelly proud of what they see as their righteous fight to protect their race.
I would say the Holocaust actually made it MORE LIKELY that a Jewish Supremacist nation would arise and that they would do their own Holocaust, because the stories of the Race being attacked used by the Nazis had to be heavilly spinned, whilst the Holocaust is barelly spinned (the only spin is to make it sound as the Jews were uniquelly targetted for extermination. not mentioning any of the other groups targetted in it, such as the Romani, 1/4 of a million of whom were murderer) and is genuine proof that somebody really tried to exterminate their ethnicity, hence it's far more believable (because it's the unbelished truth) than the stories the Nazis used about how their race was being victimized. Of course, the fable that the Jewish People RIGHT NOW are still being targetted as a Race for destruction is bullshit, but it did happen in the past, unlike with the stories the Nazis used about the "victimization" of the Arian People which were total bullshit.
