They dropped the case because the defendant would have done a ferocious discovery on everything leading up to the damage happening, including an investigation of the contractor, how he was chosen, how he was paid, which materials were used, how they were applied, the nature of the over runs, and a FORENSIC ACCOUNTING of the budget.
We would have found out that of the $14 million, $2 million was spent on the pool, and $12 million was split between Trump and Contractor Buddy.
In short, we would have discovered that it was a classic real estate developer kickback scheme, Trump's Bread & Butter for his entire career, along with money laundering. That's why he's doing all those building projects, they're all kickback schemes.
They didn't want that coming out, and this way they get to do it all over again, except with a bigger budget they can steal.
