Over 70% of the country wants him gone, but from an outsider's perspective, all they see is the fact that we voted him in.

It's going to take a very long time to undo the damage caused by Trump. Nobody is ever going to trust the United States again, unless we put safeguards in place to ensure that someone like him can never gain this level of unchecked power ever again. And I just don't see that happening in any of our lifetimes.

You'll never undo it. America's pre-Trump position in the world was due to the fact that it was the only major power left standing after World War II. After the rest of the world rebuilt itself America was entrenched enough to maintain its position through inertia. When that inertia's gone, it won't come back.
