So either we have lots of oil and we that’s not a problem or we don’t have enough oil and investing into it is incredibly stupid. Which is it? Norway is also more socialist and those socialist policies are working well for those people. I know reading is hard, but try to keep up.

Yes, Cubans live in a bad state. Doesn’t have anything to do with the crushing embargos put in place by the most capitalist country, though, right? And even without a profit motive their medical field is still doing really well in terms of actual research and developement.

Oil is on it's way out. It's not a long term plan to build a system that depends on massive resource wealth. Especially when using that resource destroys the planet.

Cuba doesn't have oil. That apparently fits with your ideal world where countries with oil wealth are nice socialist utopias, and those that don't... well they just can't afford socialism I guess? Or maybe they get abused by a country dominated by the corporations the petro-socialist states invest their sovereign wealth into?

That’s not at all what I said. I was talking about Carney’s sovereign wealth fund as an example where he’s acting like it’s the same as Norway’s sovereign wealth fund but while they are using it actually enrich their citizens the one we have is just handing private O&G companies taxpayer money.
