I remember the countdown people had for when Maisie Williams was 18 and could do a nude scene and just being so disappointed in fellow men. I just can't understand the shameless entitlement some have.
I remember being in the car with my father, and in the month or so leading up to the Olsen twins turning 18, it seemed like all his talk radio channels just switched to how much all these 50+ year old guys calling into afternoon sports shows couldn't wait until they could finally have their shot at seducing them without it automatically getting them criminal charges, and how they'd been waiting for this for years since the twins were so hot. It was gross and weird AF, even for the time.
Same thing happens for any young actress. It's societal rot and cancerous fed by the media's obsession with celebrity and sex.
I remember seeing a countdown clock on a TV show for the OIsen twins turning 18.
Those girls were on TV since they were babies and people were lusting over them. It was the creepiest thing I've ever seen. I don't recall the Olsen twins ever having any roles that were at all sexual in nature. So people were lusting over them solely because they were children on their TV screens that they were sexually attracted to.
There was also a Hermoine countdown.
And before that the olson twins.
And if it wasn't gross enough, I'm pretty sure her character still wasn't meant to be 18.
What always gets me about these creepy countdowns.
They ALSO act like it means everything is now fair game.
Like "Look at this photoshop of a 2 year old photo, but its cool now because she is 18, nevermind she was not in THIS photo."
Its fucking gross.
