Play BG3 and then any Elder Scrolls games and you quickly realize how desperately they need to hire a director of cinematography or at least contract one. Not for the trailers. For the dialogue. That flat, direct-on approach to the camera angle when you are talking to someone has got to go. It's like they are saying "here, look how ugly our models and textures are up close. See how badly our facial expression animations can be under scrutiny? Thanks. We wanted you to notice in the worst way."

hl2 had better facial animations

"How are you?"

"I've been better. How are you?"

"I've been better."

"I hope things get better."
