Sorry for missing last week! We had just come back from our long vacation and it just slipped my mind. Getting back into our routines again. Trying to get our 3yo to potty-train, and I think we discovered this weekend that having him in a pull-up just gives him permission to use it. We had him running around bottomless while we were in the house this weekend and not a single accident! As soon as we put him in training underwear though, he would just use it like a diaper 😤. Now we're back to the work week, and we sent him to daycare with a stack of pants and training undies, and we'll see what happens. K1 is going to camp, and I think she's still getting adjusted to the new daily schedule. She was just not having it today when getting ready... but by the time we were there she was excited to go. Just a real roller coaster of emotion.
We told the centre we were toilet training the kids and to not put them in nappies. The biggest issue is the inconsistencies the kids face between home and care when trying to toilet training
Yeah, today K2 is going commando under his shorts, and hopefully that's just close enough to feeling like he's going bottomless. Our daycare has been very supportive. They were great in helping us with K1. I do know he's in a room that's got a lot more kids in it though, so hopefully he's getting enough attention to check in with him and make sure he at least tries to sit on the potty. 🤞
