So my username on reddit was u/IAmUser1234567 I had 17k+ Karma, i didn't do anything they just banned my account. Now i guess they have created a digital fingerprint or marked my ip address, because if i create a new account it gets banned almost instantly.

I am loving lemmy(using Voyager on my android phone) so much. Reddit anyways now just contains shity cringe content, it is becoming like insta, I am happy to join lemmy family :)

it used to, but now since its mostly AI driven bans, or shadowban. for sitewide ban they just give a generic Ai generated response, usually goes like this : "your account was banned for these violations(s). see the tos", it doesnt tell the reason for the ban anymore, thats when you know its AI generated. shadowban wont tell you are banned, you only find out once you stop getting responses from people(like you been commenting for a few days but nobody responds") , they have been using that so liberally because it doesnt tip of potential spammers, and users, plus it obfuscate thier reasons for banning you.
