Ah, you were serious? This is the shitty ask lemmy community, so I assumed that no one would take things posted here seriously.Of course, in reality, I don't wish acid upon others. Though I'm a bit unsure about my feelings on capital punishment, I think that if carried out, it should be as painless & private as possible. I also think that if used as punishnent, the minimum required offence for capital punishment should be very high, even higher than a few murders.
What do you mean "back to being Romans"? Cruel & unusual executions have been carried out across the ages, even in modern times. Instead of looking at the past, when humanity's limits were low, look at the future, the death penalties of tomorrow!
For example, why hang someone or kill them with a thousand cuts, when you could instead submerge them in acid or infect them with a flesh-eating bacteria? Think of the possibilities!
