With all the creepy psycho shit the people like Elon and Altman say, I genuinely think if they walked down a street and saw like a pretty flower or a bluejay landing in a tree they'd be like "AHHHH! Disgusting biomass! I wish to trample it and cover it in concrete!"

Is there any warmth or beauty or wonder within them now? Do you think they've ever looked at a sunset or someone playing a nice song on a guitar or ate a tasty meal and felt anything? Or are they just husk people?

I just finished reading Careless People by Sarah Wynn-Williams, a former high up at Facebook between 2011 and 2017. I am firmly convinced that they do not have souls, decency, any shred of morality or kindness. There was another book i read a while back, Jackpot that also talked about the effects of money on peoples behaviour, from "few hundred grand in the lottery" to "overnight millionaire bc of tech stonks", and it came to similar conclusions about how money makes people worse people and often less competent in general

This article has antichina brainworms (much like Wynn-Williams herself) but does a good job of summarising the book, as well as confirming that she does have receipts for her major claims
