Microsoft is complete scum.

FYI, Bazzite works just fine for gaming, I can run Cyberpunk 2077 on it with no problems.

Bazzite is what I went with when I decided to ditch Windows and was surprised at how well it worked. The atomic nature of the distro takes some getting used to but for gaming it's been perfect.

CachyOS has been great for me. Granted, I'm comfortable enough with computers that I can search to find answers to things, so I'm not sure if I rolled through issues that might challenge others, but it's been a fantastic experience. I switched about a year ago. Couldn't be happier with it, and I'd recommend it for anyone who's put off with the limitations inherent in running an immutable distro.
