Today’s game is Jedi Survivor. And probably the last time it will be featured. If not then the second to last. I spent yesterday kind of giving my general thoughts. So I’ll just sum up my opinions on the game. The pictures will serve more as an appealing aesthetic to go with it. I don’t want this to be taken as a review, though ultimately I suppose that’s what this will serve as.

My first part I wanted to talk about were the graphics. Looks great at parts but holy shit do they fall apart at the finer details. The game struggled at 1440p with my 7600 XT (16GB). Like, seriously. There’s some egregious pop in issues and sometimes the lighting just didn’t want to look right.

My second part was that it felt a little less console than the first one. The first one felt perfectly put together in this way like a puzzle that fits perfectly. This one wasn’t bad. But it lacked the same feel which is a shame.

Tanalor was pretty though. I loved the color scheme. I do wish we got more though. That brief snippet we saw felt so pretty to see.

SpoilerI honestly felt bad for Bode. It felt to me like the dude was just afraid. In a way I can kind of understand where he’s coming from. I’m not a father myself, but I can sympathize with his desire to keep Kata safe. I’m glad at the very least she’ll be in safe hands with Cal and Merrin.

Anyways. I’ve been running around getting collectibles and I saw this mole guy in a building I had to break into. I did his little side thing. But his design was still humorous to me.

Anyways. After this I have to figure out what’s next on my list. I got the sudden urge for Uncharted 4 again. So maybe that. I’ll have to see. I still need to do that Speed Run achievement any ways. And lost legacy.

Day 720?! We’re in HD now!

I got most of the way through Survivor recently before coming to similar conclusions as you. I remember the first game feeling really tight in its level design while Survivor feels a lot looser. I waited a few years before playing Survivor to let them work out the performance issues, but even on my 5080 and 9950x3D it was still chugging half the time no matter how low I moved the settings. It’s a real shame because I went back and played the opening section (which granted get’s a lot more work put into it) of the first game and I think it looked and ran better.
