It's mostly CyborgMarx trying to argue Platner's the lesser evil compared with some other Zionist.
collins has been in the senate for years she's probably still worse, but that doesn't mean anyone should support platner even when he was just a blackwater guy
More like a small handful of the most bernard-loving electoralists that make every thread on him go to 500+ comments by doing the "if you don't support him you support zionist DNC candidate instead" and "I don't like him but lesser evil and this is rightwing hit pieces!"

Just generally I saw Platner-negative trends in things, so I was a little confused. But a few diehard holdouts, yeah, I can see that. Every cause has them.
Breakthrough News was making the same apologetics for Platner in the past month. I’m sure that had an effect.
There's one extremely vocal supporter in particular who will accuse you of being a Zionist for opposing him (do you want Collins to win? She's worse!!!, despite Platner literally being a racist mass murderer) and will distort theory to support him more generally, and a few others who are less insufferable about it. What I do see more often are people who seem to genuinely hate the guy but still regard him as the lesser of two evils, which is more understandable if still poor analysis (given his open support for imperialism and that he is a democrat the chance he will move the needle on Israel is negative but the chances he will actually expand American imperial efforts elsewhere are very, very good).
