I write Rats of NIMH fanfiction. Sometimes it'll leak into my dreams. They're always the weirdest.
One example: The last stretch of the Second World Anti-Fascist war was being fought and the Army of NIMH had surrounded my old high school because the US Army turned it into a last ditch fortification.
Having a dream where your back in high school, artillery shells are being fired into it, yet everyone around you is proceeding as normal is an..... Interesting experience. It's not bad or scary or anything, it's just really weird.
Especially when the autism brainstorming thing is activated, your parsing through everything like it's a daydream, but it's not a proper lucid dream. Brains are REALLY weird.
