Well apparently according to the FBI official story his neck caught a 30-06 round at like ~150yd which would have blown through a whole elk at 2x the distance "because he was superman" so it couldn't have been the bullet.
And the video of "the kid that shot him" shows the kid escaping from the roof with a backpack but no rifle, then the rifle is found in the woods fully assembled. To do this he would have had to break down the rifle, stash it in his bag, *footage*, get to the woods, assemble the rifle again for literally no reason while he should be escaping, then escape. But he left the screwdriver needed to assemble/disassemble the rifle on the roof, so...
