When I see 85 I assume it's an obituary, not a retirement. Pelosi is retiring from Congress at 85 years old. This is obscenity. We need an age limit for government positions, and it's going to have to come from the ground up because they will never do it themselves.
Anyway, bye Nancy. You did suck.
Members of the House of Representatives serve a fixed term of 2 years. Nancy is in her 20th term. That means she had people vote for her for roughly 40 years.
This suggests that US drinking water systems still contain a significant amount of lead.
It's indicative of our primary system and how the major parties operate. Mitch McConnell is another good example of this. Same with Feinstein, and even RBG. Bernie Sanders is still in his seat. He's too old even if people like him. Pass the torch or watch it fall.
I hate that these motherfuckers only work like four months out of the whole year and spend the rest of it insider trading legally.
I remember my great grandmother at 85 and my great great aunt at the same age. They were not fit for the dinner table let alone public office. I don't care how good modern medicine is. They are stuck in the past and should NOT be leading the country.
Mike Johnson: "Hold my beer."
I'm really concerned that the bar is so low now that voters are going to hold their noses for the midterm primaries and go for candidates somewhere in between Pelosi and Johnson "so they have a chance."
Really it should be like every other job out there, you get retired after 65.
