He has spoken of the USSR and historical Russia, I think he has been hoping to try and take over all of the surrounding land to restore the 'empire' and have better protection with the mountainous regions.
I don't think the Ukrainian government would have had any way no matter who they are.
It would have made a difference. If the Russian-puppet leaders had stayed in place then there would have been no fight and just controlled by Russia the easy way.
You think that's one of multiple reasons, or the sole reason?
Russia still spouts the "they're Nazis" nonsense in all kinds of directions. Do you think those are correct too?
