The Taliban turned against the US, why wouldn't Al-Qaeda? Especially when the US is in decline and on its way out of the region. Turkey isn't going anywhere and makes for a much more reliable sponsor. Jolani is a murderous thug but he is also an opportunist rat who sees which way the wind is blowing.

Trump is upset about what is happening in Lebanon; his statements have been misunderstood.

The Shia community in Lebanon must be reassured, and Hezbollah must find its place rather than resorting to zero-sum solutions.

You will not see Syria inside Lebanon.

Our role will be nothing but positive.

Solutions must be sought to ensure the security of the Shia community within Lebanon.

I have no objection to sitting down with Hezbollah at the dialogue table if it serves the interests of Syria and Lebanon.

The solution in Lebanon cannot be achieved through bombing and destruction. I disagreed with the President of the United States, Trump, regarding the need to stop the war.

There must be different solutions.
