we never had actual wars like europe, or eurasia did. that finally convinced the country its enogh. america is truley living in a bubble. also by designed people are kept complacent by high enough wage, SPORTS, and culture wars.

Also the utter lack of community, most people just don't socialize with anyone outside their house or work and even then it's mostly superficial, plus a shitty, hyper-individualist culture which exacerbates it.

We aren't a community of workers trying to ensure we all have enough, we are a country of individuals all trying to compete for what little scraps we can get our hands on that drop from the tables of the ruling class.

Hard to build a resistance effort when you don't trust your neighbors or your coworkers to be there for you when it counts.
