Rainn Wilson says "The Office" probably wouldn’t be made today, telling Fox News Digital that media trends have shifted left and that cancel culture makes it difficult for edgy comedies to thrive.

I enjoyed the first 2 seasons because it had a clear clown-like quality where everyone was supposed to be ignorant, annoying, and odd. But I enjoyed it as a hellish version of office work when your work feels useless. In bullshit jobs, I have experienced and hated small doses of the stuff that they took really far with over the top clown acting

But I agree, libs really love it after those seasons because they turn the first 2 into 'character development,' never change the underlying hellish aspects, but then try to make everyone loveable, special heros of some kind. So I have only seen sporadic episodes that (lib) friends were watching otherwise. It turned from cringe that you could hate to cringe you were supposed to feel bad for and i hated that

I found it odd that the Office kept trying to make me like Jim and Pam, considering:

  1. They're the two most boring characters in the show.

  2. Jim is a huge asshole.

no they also like parks and rec
