#42: Star Trek: The Original Series, season 2, episode 10 "Journey to Babel"

"Threats are illogical. And payment is usually expensive." - Ambassador Sarek

The Enterprise hosts multiple dignitaries from Federation member worlds to escort them to a conference on the planet Babel. One of those dignitaries is the Vulcan Ambassador Sarek and his human wife Amanda Grayson.,, who also happen to be Commander Spock's parents. During the voyage, tempers flare over a controversial vote to admit a new world into the Federation. This leads to one of the dignitaries being found murdered shortly afterward and Sarek being the prime suspect.
