Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Yes, fucking gleefully.

Do yourself a favor and Google "Graham Platner quotes about killing"

Jesus Christ how low is the bar? Yes I'm going to hold his words and actions against him, he's running for public office and those words and actions are fucking horrifying.

I gave you the bare minimum of doing the google (which I shouldn't be doing in the first place because it's on you to prove your statements) and found literally nothing, so unless you can cite your source I'm going to stand by what I said.

I'd like to ask you what kind of person voluntarily serves four tours in Iraq (including guard duty at Abu Ghraib prison), only then to get a job at Blackwater to continue the same kind of work? What kind of person does that? Even without the Nazi tattoo, that would have been more than enough to raise red flags. Shit man, just working at Blackwater is a problem for me.

Anyway, there's a full archive of his reddit posts and comments, which is why I said to Google it yourself.

I will concede that maybe "gleefully" is a little hyperbolic, and "without empathy or remorse" is probably more accurate.

I'm not going to continue talking in circles. I've addressed what you said in two ways. First I asked

And perhaps more importantly, has his military career made him more pro American foreign policy or more anti American foreign policy?

Which you continued to ignore. And since you weren't interested in having that conversation I responded with:

Whatever, it’s not my job to change your opinion. If you want to hold every mistake he’s ever done over his head go ahead, just don’t fall off your high horse. And if it’s such a deal breaker continue voting for the politicians who have seen war only in movies and have no guilt over sending youth into a meat grinder.

There's no discussion to have here. You're hellbent on hating the guy so the only way for me to treat you is the same way you treat him, which means I don't give a shit that you're now conceding that "gleeful" was hyperbolic, you already made your mistake so you're forever disingenuous.

Fuck Nazis and fuck murderers who get Nazi tattoos.

And I guess fuck me for having standards.

[–] Goodeye8@piefed.social 1 points 2 hours ago

No, but if you want a "fuck you" you can get one for being fucking disingenuous. Forever and ever baby, nothing is going to take that away from you.
