You know the types. The ones that studied arts/humanities, live in coastal elite cities (notably Brooklyn or LA) off their parents' money, failed to achieve a successful career in their desired field, now mostly work food service jobs for 15-25 hours a week, and their politics seem more like an aesthetic and are rarely practiced through any activism

They rarely obsess over refining their art to truly become great or hustle their ass off to find commercial success. They rarely do any self sacrifice to work hard at something they don't like to self sustain the material conditions they wish for of endless matcha lattes/art supplies and an apartment in the most desirable and expensive parts of the countries. They always act so superior for being a "creative" against people working boring jobs as if they weren't only able to live their current lifestyle because their parents also did boring jobs or were straight up capitalists

Who's going to tell them that every country with a successful revolution people still worked 40-60 hours at boring/hard fucking jobs and they likely still wouldn't be a writer, musicians, painter, etc.

In fact their life would likely be even worse because they'd be less likely to have wealthy parents to coast off of

Bro just described a lot of IRL anarchists I've met.

I mean I kinda see what you're getting at, but I don't think those people are truly "progressives" and would ditch their ideologies the second things looked up for them.

I am always hesitant to interact with people who come from privileged backgrounds, I have met a few who seemed to get a thrill from cosplaying as one of the normies, but they don't have that same anxiety weighing down on them and it kinda shows.

I think it's still valuable to treat them as humans and to not alienate them, everyone starts off as a lib, it takes years of internal effort to even begin removing the brainworms.

I will say though, I feel that discontent against white chuds I'm not gonna lie. Like you're telling me you had a multi-generational head start in life and I'm beating you even though you have the better controller and aim assist? Or when veterans cry about not being able to get by, after receiving free college, cheap as fuck home loans, and free medical care. You had everything handed to you on a platter and you're still in last place?

This is exactly it. And yet they pretend like they know what it's like because they are now new poor. That is completely different from growing up poor or generationally poor
