It's because people are showing up and voting FOR Platner.

Looking at previous Maine Democratic Primary for Senate. Six years ago Sarah Gideon got 116,264 votes out of 162,681. This time around Graham Platner got 149,206 votes out of 207,068.

Platner is getting people to show up. This is a good sign going into the general.

"Libs love voting for nazis almost as much as republicans do" is not the win you think it is.

So the options are Collins, who has a known track record of voting with MAGA, or Platner who has no record of voting with MAGA and has run a campaign that looks nothing like the policy of a MAGA candidate.

Could he completely turn around and vote MAGA? Sure. As could his primary opponent Janet Mills. Or any of the other tiny percentage of Democratic primary opponents.

But you know who will vote with MAGA 94.6% of the time? Susan Collins.

Go check out Lryst3n Sinema's campaign. She campaigned as a progressive and immediately went MAGA once she was sworn in. This fuck will too.
