Why are people, who populate the mainstream forward edge of the tech to regain collective ownership of online public spaces, "obsessed" with tech company layoffs? Why are all of these people, maybe a majority of them currently or formerly employed by that industry, following that industry? Is that your question, friend?

yeah, who gives a shit, if you work for an ultra mega corp expect to be treated like cattle, not sure who I should feel sorry for in this situation

3 companies own everything. Small, decent teams get acquired by said garbage each day. Many individual workers don't have the choice practically.

I imagine you'll grow some empathy when the VCs start to target what you do and acquire all the small-medium businesses in the ignorant asshole industry.
