That sounds really disturbing to go through, I hope you’re feeling at least somewhat better now! If you don’t mind me asking, was there anything in particular that helped you reconnect with reality? Even if you don’t want to answer, thank you for sharing your experience.
Thank you! I've fully recovered and thankfully living a very fulfilling life since that occurred. I got out of it because my family knew something was wrong and checked me into the emergency department at a hospital, and then getting checked into a psych ward. The thing that snapped me back to reality was being brought to a padded room at about 2am. Once I realized my delusion, I started to quickly recover. I spent a week in the grippy sock hotel, and continued to regain my emotional stability for several months afterwards
