16 locations? I was gonna ask how both canada and mexico could be hotel options. Thats nuts. I mean I remember it being done in a single city in the past. Is it that much bigger than before?

It isn't big in North America -- but yea, 16 different cities, from coast to coast, and from Canada down to central Mexico.

The total number of matches has increased -- Qatar had like 64 matches, this time its around 100. Each venue seems to be hosting like 5-9 games. So it's basically gone from 64 matches in a concentrated area, to... this clown show.

I don't watch soccer but I thought it was going from 32 to 64, not 64 to 100! That's absurd!

you know what I guess I was just ignorant of how it was coast to coast before. My city had one of the venues and I thought the whole world cup took place in the area. (just looked it up). so I guess having the matches all over the place is not that unusual.
