Sorry for another reddit-based post, but today reddit held a poll: Do you want the United States to become socialist? Most Americans voted No, and most non-Americans voted Yes.

Hi, I'm an expert on American culture. I'd just like to clear something up.

You see, in the USA, words are only used for two things: hurting others or empty posturing. An American who posts something like "Starbucks is woke" is most likely waiting in the drive thru for their drink. In this way, the American gets to enjoy their sugary treat, and at the same time, shame others who might enjoy it as well. The American maintains their sense of individualism while doing the same thing that everybody else is doing.
