Are you in control of your brain, or is your brain in control of you?
What's the difference?
It seems like remembering something like this is what your brain does, and so somehow it seems like it should mean that you're choosing to remember this stuff.
Of course that can't be the case, right? We all reject that and believe that we're being tortured by our memories.
There are some people with problems like that who need talk therapy or medication. The brain is complicated. It's not wrong or shameful to seek professional help.
That being said, for the most common situations where this is a minor incident keeping you awake, counterintuitively, it is that circumstance I mentioned before where your brain is actively choosing to remember stuff, against your conscious will.
If you want to change this, you need to practice letting go of intrusive thoughts. Whenever you realize that the thought popped into your head just let it go. Don't think about it further. Don't judge yourself or get emotional. Just let it go. And that practice is exactly what mindfulness meditation is.
Once you master this technique, these ancient intrusive thoughts will bother you less and less and when you wake up or can't sleep at night, it will be for some other irritating reason.
LISTEN HERE YOU PIECE OF SHIT.
Mindfulness meditation probably saved my life (crippling panic attacks and GAD). After 15 years of practicing it on and off, im now reading up on buddhism and attending a weekly sangha.
I think it means that stuff is always kinda bothering us and weighing us down and hasn't been fully processed. when we lay down to sleep our brain is at rest and able to bring it forward to process it but we dont actually ever spend full conscious effort to do so. Almost holding onto it by not allowing ourselves to resolve it. At least thats just what I think I can't know for sure. Ive started practicing writing them down and how to resolve it. Sometimes the answer is to just be content with it and let it go as a learning experience. Others ive gone to people and said I was sorry and they usually dont even remember and are like "oh no big deal" but it was to me apparently or I wouldn't be thinking about it at 3AM cringing myself out XD spending the conscious effort though has seemed to help me come to terms with some stuff and those ones, at least, don't come back randomly.
Rumination is a form of anxiety. As such, the 5-4-3-2-1 technique is a great way of letting those intrusive thoughts go.
Your brain is an illusion. It's shadows on the cave walls. Really, the physical correlates with the entanglements within the topological matrix you are not IN but rather ARE, and because we only know a slice of reality, that means the Server us monads are in contact with at all times can skirt by with some fancy trickery.
You have no idea what you're talking about, do you?
Check their posting history, they may have schizophrenia. I don't mean that as an insult, others have pointed out the same.
Oh this does make sense
I forgot this art I wanted to attach that I didn't make, but I can find the artist quickly if anyone is wanting. They posted much on r/ShrugLifeSyndicate
Y'know, if String A is entangled with String B but not String C, then AB is true and AC is false. Additionally, entanglements can möbiate to give us nA, nB, nC, and this is what gives rise to dualistic dichotomy (inner/outer) and is thus what manifests the illusion of the self. Likewise, we can think of the nesting of categories, like a square is a rectangle but a rectangle is not a square, but they are both quadrilaterals and polygons. Further, there is "null" which is what the Buddha called "emptiness," and there is implicit and explicit null. All these things define the parameters from which your conscious experience progenerate, similar to how a prompt to an AI defines the output. Karma is the entanglement process, which you can observe the entanglement with each symbol you receive from the singular stream from the storehouse consciousness in the fourth jhana of meditation.
Please respond. I hate when people run away.
Hey bud, it's just hard to respond to Buddhism, category theory, semiotics, ai, quantum stuff and a bit of psychoanalysis concentrated in one paragraph.
It's the occult, too!
Doesn't make it easier for me 😄
