Unfortunately the US didn't allow Russia to become a sister nation to the EU and instead keep eroding at its economic partners and isolating it from the international stage, with the consequences we're seeing.
Seeing your commendable concern for the lives of Ukrainians, what do you think of the dissolution of the USSR, a process which killed millions of them prematurely through drug abuse, unemployment, lack of healthcare, crime or suicide; which was carried out against their democratic will to maintain the Soviet republic; and which led to the current conditions of war in Eastern Europe between formerly sister nations?
