Colbert is without a doubt more qualified than Trump to be president. But that's not actually saying much. Don't get me wrong, I would gladly vote for Colbert over whatever creature the MAGAts nominate for 2028. But I don't think Colbert wants to be president. I think he knows hes not really suitable.

Also, he old. Not as old as some other candidates, but can maybe time for someone below 50 to get the office?

Agreed.

57 is the maximum age for an ideal, first-term candidate. 57 gives two four-year terms, while remaining under the retirement age. Colbert will reach retirement age in his first term.

Colbert isn't an ideal candidate, but he's not a bad one. He's electable, as is Jon Stewart.
