Chronologically, this is the last episode of the first season.
A lot of good stuff here, Leonard Nimoy getting to be goofy being the best part. But his somber performance at the end is just as good. Realizing he had never been (and probably never would again be) happy and acknowledging he has a second name.
The most eye-rolly part of this is how negative human emotions, once again, save the galaxy from a parasitic force. Lucky the galaxy has technologically-advanced apes running around shaking up the status quo.
