basically i wanna play sekiro without playing sekiro for the hundredth time, or elden ring with actual good stealth, or assassin's creed without being an ubisoft collectathon

is Lies of P any good? Probably no stealth in that one tho

Preferably something I can play on my homebrew steammachine on the couch

How about Kingdom Come: Deliverance? The first game and its sequel are both some of the best RPGs in this generation.

Baldur's Gate 3 is also a must if you haven't already. It's just like playing D&D 5e

If you want more souls-like combat (kinda) I'd say ghost of tsushima or ghost of yotei if you have a ps5.

Lies of P is excellent, I've beaten it and really enjoyed it but you're correct that there's basically no stealth, or if there is it's not viable. The game is a bit easier if you're used to games like elden ring or sekiro, I was breezing past bosses. But I hear the DLC is a lot harder.

Ghost of Tsushima is loads of fun, the combat is right up there with Sekiro. Not gonna drop 800 for a PS5 tho lol.

I should try BG3 again, I got distracted and kind of bounced off of it the first time. I'd prefer something a little more action oriented too.

CK:D isn't a bad idea, though I think I avoided because it gave me Big Chud Energy vibes, not sure

IIRC it felt to me that it avoids it through being heavy on actual character writing - so when Henry is prejudiced, say, it doesn't so much seem as if that's being presented as correct, but that things have happened in his life that have shaped the attitudes of a hot-headed young killing machine. Bit like if Geralt was more of a golden retriever than a white wolf (thinking about it, Henry drinks just as many potions and is constantly getting killed by peasants with pitchforks...).

KCD2 I liked more, because they finessed the realistic (i.e. annoying) combat juuuust enough that I could get into it, and there's a notable questline where he runs into a group from a country he despises (having been fighting them for most of KCD1)... except the whole arc is him actually working past that from the perspective he's gained over the years since then.

that's good to know about combat. I have very little patience for bad combat

is KCD2 approachable without having played the first?

Yes, it stands on its own even if you didn't play the first

Ghost is available on PC, you can pirate it

I'll wait for Yotei. I do have a PS4

KCD2 is the one where the chud dev added a Gay Romance Plotline But Like Not In A Woke Way You Guys I'm Serious and his chud fans got really mad at him anyway

to be clear idk anything about its actual quality as a game, i just think that's really fucking funny
