General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Sure.

Untill you compare to anyone on the right wing.

Then suddenly he looks like the most sane candidate.

For fuck sake. 2026 politics is fucked up.

We've gone full circle again where tories and corbyn seem reasonable because the alternatives are just crazy

Actually the tories might be crazy now to try and get votes off reform... Idk I don't follow tories anymore

My unpopular opinion is that Kier Starmer is actually okay

More voters consider Corbyn reasonable in 2p1u and 2019. Then voted for labour or any other party in the last general.

Maybe don't take media bullshit. To weigh up what the UK considered reasonable. It is just out right lies. To support their bias.

I don't take media bullshit- I've read their (Polansii and Farage's) manifestos. They're crazy, reactionary and nonsensical.

Yet your own word. Corbyn did not seem reasonable.

How did you come to that conclusion. Because unreasonable dose not mean. You don't like it.

It means the majority opinion. Reason beyond the bounds of acceptability.

Not beyond your own personal opinion.

No researched or internally formed opinion could have lead you to conclude a majority refused to accept his arguments had any validity.

Only the right wing media made those claims.

Or do you some how confused your own opinions. With reason.
