He can solo most armies that don't have a ton of ranged armor piercing, which makes his starting position really, really good for him. His only real threat are dwarves and cathay iirc. He's also meant to march all the way to nuln (Which you're not going to do) to give the empire time to build up a ton of guns (Which they won't do).
Yeah I'm not sure where you're supposed to go to get to Nuln. North around the dark lands I guess, but you're kind of pulled down into the Mountains of Mourn because somebody's always going to hold the last settlement in a province. I guess the second quest battle just gives Nuln to you lmao.
I'm playing with an alternate victory conditions mod, so it wants me to take the mountains and then ally with the chorfs (though I'll have to take Zarr Naggrund because the Servants of the conclave refuse to ally).
