Meta is under pressure to explain why it cancelled a major contract with a company it was using to train AI, shortly after some of its Kenya-based workers alleged they had to view graphic content captured by Meta smart glasses.

In February, workers at the company, Sama, told two Swedish newspapers they had witnessed glasses users going to the toilet, and having sex.

Less than two months later, Meta ended its contract with Sama, which Sama said would result in 1,108 workers being made redundant.

You're claiming that having a tiny projector screen an inch from your eyeballs increases situational awareness while driving? That's a wild take.

Turn by turn directions? You can already get that on your phone. You don't need airpods. In fact, if you have earbuds in while you're driving, you're a danger to everyone around you.

Also, if you're wearing glasses that identify my name via facial recognition and store all that shit even in your own server, and you look at me with those glasses on, I'm fucking breaking them. You forfeited your sole ownership of them when you stole my likeness without my consent.

At least with go pro, everyone can clearly see when you have one on, and people don't typically wear them in casual situations. Mountain biking or scuba diving, sure. But not at a cafe or a town hall.

Anyone who wears that shit deserves to be blackmailed when they forget to take them off before their private activities.
