Why do they have cameras in these places. Is a kids gymnastics room a high crime area!?

[–] cecilkorik@lemmy.ca 32 points 1 day ago

Well we live in a world literally run by pedophiles now, so sadly probably yes. I doubt that's what the cameras are for though.

Parents were tired of pedos and politicians coming to their gyms so they installed cameras for them to use instead.

Gee I wonder why kids have anxiety. Must be the phones and not shoving surveilance cameras everywhere

Places I’ve been don’t want kids to run over to their parents mid-class, so they put them in a waiting room, and since parents want to watch their class they tend to have a tv running in that room

This is correct. I was a musical theater performer for decades and grew up in several dance studios, and they're always equipped with either a one-way mirror in a room where the parents can watch without being disruptive, or cameras.

But after the events of the past two years, we know definitively that the Epstein class is untouchable and entrenched in every detail of society and that every device with a camera or microphone and a wireless connection is spying on us. It would not surprise me to learn that Flock is collating the data received from such places and selling it to pedophiles for their entertainment.

They can do it and cover it up by "getting hacked"

Gods forbid we used the old school method of just looking through a damned window

At least my kid's karate studio is smart enough to do it that way...
