thread starts here: https://lemmy.ml/post/46418763/25369882

Kicks off with just racist propaganda:

The education is also non-competitive and crippling for the not-so-gifted students, yes?

Because I don’t hear about many student suicides (specifically due to stress and pressure) outside of the Asian countries.

Ends with this:

Thanks for providing the requested chart.

Side note: Jesus christ are you all zealots for china. Please get your dick inside back in your trousers If you like the country so much, I hope you are on the way to move there…

Correcting misconceptions and racist propaganda gets the most lazy insult response.

most likely the same amount.

The whole time fedi-users say to not glorify country leaders, corpos, public figures (e.g. actors, youtubers), the US and so many more

Yet when it comes to China it's suddenly completely okay to glorify it?

Okay: In that case I will glorify the EU.
Hell yes to the GDPR!

Liberals always have to pretend that there's no choice between absolute hostility towards a designated enemy country and like, some kind of all-consuming sexual obsession. If they didn't, they would have to reckon with the enormous swathes of the human race that support China a normal-ass amount for normal-ass reasons.

And liberalism can't win that battle for hearts and minds against socialism, so it has to tell itself stories about the mindless red zealot hordes instead.

That's why there's all this fediverse drama about how the anarchist instances are "tankies" now. The anarchist instances are currently discovering that you can start out as anticommunist as can be, but 1) The more you reckon with the actual challenges of building a new society, the more you gravitate towards to the solutions backed by trial and experience, and 2) As soon as you deviate in any way from liberal ideology, oppose imperialism or genocide, the liberals will happily drop their mask and add you to The List.

glorifying is when you dont uncritically accept a vibes based hunch that "china must be at least as bad as the US"

you're a clown.

Imagine proudly defending genocidal colonizers and acting like a milquetoast privacy law somehow makes it all worthwhile

[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

You have a better option at the whole punishment for breaking privacy in the western sphere?
All ears.

[–] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 5 points 3 weeks ago

No actually "trust private companies will do what they say, only for certain people in certain circumstances, except when the US or US related allies say otherwise" is actually the best possible system. There's definitely no other way to do it. Also my personal data privacy is more important than the merciless slaughter of thousands upon thousands of completely innocent people. You convinced me!

Socialists support socialist countries, generally. The PRC isn't "glorified" unduly, it's supported as the socialist state that it is.

In that case I will glorify the EU. Hell yes to the GDPR!

Yeah all glory to chat control, age verification and unrepentant Zionism to such an extent you get arrested for protesting for Palestine.

I think you need to learn what "glorify" means. Seems to be that you think it means "pointing out blatant misinformation" and "actually looking at what a country does instead of just having some vibes based thought process about it all".

[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

I see several protests for palestine in Stuttgart, Germany.
I have yet to see them getting involved with the police.

[–] brain_in_a_box@hexbear.net 7 points 3 weeks ago

Ok. Reality doesn't go away because you close your eyes

[–] BanMeFromPosting@hexbear.net 3 points 3 weeks ago

Lmao it's always the germans. Why don't you join the protests you see? Seems like you know what I'm talking about, Hmmm? (See I can be an annoying redditor too)

And why do you think anecdotal evidence and personal vibes function as a basis of analysis?

[–] mathemachristian@hexbear.net 1 points 3 weeks ago

Oh you "see" them? Why aren't you among them? Do you not have the desire to protest pissrael? Nah you're glorifying their allies, why would you.

Deutschland verrecke

GDPR

Violators of GDPR may be fined up to €20 million, or up to 4% of the annual worldwide turnover of the preceding financial year, whichever is greater.

Capitalists in the EU can do whatever they want as long as they pay the "indulgence" to clean their sins.

[–] brain_in_a_box@hexbear.net 7 points 3 weeks ago

"Saying that China isn't as bad as the US is glorifying China!"

Just outright admitting you glorify the USA
