It's a 2:51 pace. Or 1:08 laps of a standard track.
Back when Kipchoge beat the 2 hour mark in his non-competitive attempt I went out after it was over and gave it a go. I made it one lap before I was absolutely beat. With serious training aimed at that goal, I reckon I could last 1k, maybe. But the full 42.195 km of a marathon? Even a 2:30 marathon is insane.
