Looked up Robert Downey jr. Found Tropicthunder which I assume is what you're talking about. The context between that and the Trudeau photo seems so far apart that it's a meaningless comparison. Trudeau did blackface himself as himself because he thought it was funny and he's a racist. Robert Downey appears to have done it as a commentary on doing it as part of a movie, I feel it was still definitely in bad taste but not at all comparable to if he just went to a party in blackface.

Yes I think a person doing blackface at a party and an actor playing a character doing blackface as a commentary on those who do are different. I think the second is still in poor taste but it is categorically different.
That implies you have some sort of insight into Trudeau’s intent so can you share how you acquired that?
Mostly from his "apology" and how he lied about how many times he did it and his excuse was he didn't know it was wrong when he did it.

All the shills of capitalism(western economists) agreeing with you that capitalism is great isn't really an argument for capitalism anymore than Nazis telling you how great Nazism is.
