I was only on Facebook because i had it from almost the beginning.

It's interesting that it generated the feeling that it is important and closing account you will lose something very valuable.

You have that feeling until you actually pull the trigger and them you realize that you never needed it. It is all addiction, Facebook just sends content that is triggering you. The greens that you worry that you might lose contact with it, majority you never talk with, the others there's so many other ways to connect with.

Facebook is just cancer.

Well... When I first quit, I stopped getting invited to stuff / knowing what events my social circle was organizing and that was frustrating and I was loosing something valuable.

But since I was an early quitter, things have gotten much better as over the last few years most of the rest of my social circle has followed me off.

In my case this wasn't an issue. While in the past events were used, no one have used them in years in my circle so I even forgot about them.
