~~Slop is meant to be for posts from random internet users or other lemmy instances, not posts from people with actual influence over a significant number of people~~.

Haha I'm not good at this. I thought pop culture was the comm that was created at the same time as slop but that was gossip.

Seems gossip got merged.

Oop

Use /c/popularculture for Hasan or contra or whatever. If the mods there say no contra then that's the way it is i guess.

I haven't consulted anyone about this so if a more senior mod wants to contradict me i get it.

Agree or disagree in the comments I'm pretty easy to influence so argue if you want

I didn't realize gossip got merged and thought it was pop culture.

I thought i was enforcing something, not changing it.

I'm sorry

Hey, I didn't mean to be so harsh toward you personally, so sorry if it came off that way. I'm also not actually annoyed, I should have something like 'silly' instead. It just seems like stuff like this happens a lot where in our quest to be as welcoming to as many groups of people as possible and listen to as many voices as possible, we elevate complaints to a grand degree that they don't always deserve. Sometimes they definitely do.

Then on the flipside, we get mods suggesting they step down after some minor mistake. It's just all so dramatic.

I'm not stepping down until i do something really silly don't worry I'm here to fuck up
