This tool seems to have been around for a while but just got another bump in traffic. Very cool to see, especially from a game preservation standpoint, and especially in the live service hellscape (even if WF is basically the singular example of a live service game that doesn't suck).

I set up a 2013 build last night to try it out and it was remarkably painless to set up, but YMMV.

Pretty cool. Goes to show how bullshit is the claim that it's too expensive to keep live service games playable in case they shutdown.

Yeppp. I don't think DE has ever echoed that claim, and this project's apparently been around for a while and they let it exist without really acknowledging it, but it definitely brings to mind other live service games that are either totally unplayable or have ripped out half of their own games over the years (cough destiny 2 cough)
